TITLE: SMOKING / VAPING / USE OF TOBACCO

PURPOSE
To comply with the Oregon Indoor Clean Air Act pursuant to ORS 433.835 through 433.875, ORS 339.883 Possession of tobacco products or inhalant delivery systems by persons under 21, and in support of the 2012 Tobacco-Free Campus Executive Order so students and staff may pursue an education in an environment that limits exposure to the harmful effects of smoking and vaping.  

STATEMENT
博天堂官方 is committed to a healthy campus which minimizes the potential negative impact of products used in smoking, vaping, and tobacco chewing. This rule prohibits tobacco use and products used in e-cigarettes and other smoking devices in public places and work spaces except those designated as smoking areas. The purpose of the Oregon Indoor Clean Air Act and the Tobacco-Free Campus Executive Order is to reduce the health hazard to persons in confined public places inhaling smoke and vapor caused by tobacco and other vaping products.

Use of all tobacco and vaping products, including chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other smoking devices, within all enclosed college buildings, both on the main campus and in the outreach centers, while traveling in college-owned or leased vehicles, and on any college property, other than shelters/areas established as designated smoking areas, is prohibited.  Further, ORS 339.883 prohibits the possession or use of tobacco products and inhalant delivery systems by persons under 21 years of age on any and all community college property.
